The Last Five Years starring Joshua Vacanti and Cami Clune
Now through October 6th: Thursdays to Saturdays at 7:30 PM, Sundays at 2:30 PM
See The Last Five Years, starring “The Voice” contestants Joshua Vacanti and Cami Clune, at The Kenan Center’s Taylor Theatre. The story explores a five-year relationship between Jamie Wellerstein (Joshua Vacanti), a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt (Cami Clune), a struggling actress.
The show uses a form of storytelling in which Jamie’s story is told in chronological order (starting just after the couple first met), and Cathy’s story is told in reverse chronological order (beginning the show at the end of the marriage). The characters do not directly interact except for a wedding song in the middle as their timelines intersect. Don’t miss this riveting musical written by Jason Robert Brown.
