Until The Wheels Fall Off is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community by celebrating the cultures of skateboarding, roller-skating, BMX riding, and dance. Our mission is to inspire and empower youth through positive engagement, artistic expression, and active participation in these dynamic sports.

We aim to promote values of diversity, tolerance, and respect, creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals from all backgrounds can come together, share their passions, and build lasting connections. Through our annual event, we strive to uplift and unite our community, emphasizing the importance of creativity, perseverance, and mutual understanding in shaping a brighter future for all.

• Live Performances: Watch amazing demonstrations by talented skateboarders, roller-skaters, BMX riders, and dancers.

• Music: Enjoy performances from musicians and bands throughout the day.

• Workshops and Educational Activities: Participate in skill-building workshops and learn about the cultural impact of these activities.

• Contests and Giveaways: Enter exciting contests and win fantastic prizes, including skateboards, roller-skates, BMX gear, music albums, and backpacks filled with school supplies.

• Interactive Exhibits: Engage with displays showcasing the history and cultural significance of street culture.

All funds raised will go directly to the community event Until the Wheels Fall Off which is a program of Lockport Main Street a 5013c nonprofit dedicated to community and economic development in the City of Lockport through commuinty programming, special events, and tourism and marketing.

“For the Streets: An Art Exhibition & Fundraiser” at the Kenan Center’s Taylor Theater on August 2, 2025. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity and wanted to share more details about the event, including the goals and itinerary for the evening.

Event Goals

• Celebrate Art & Skate Culture: Highlighting the creative intersection of these communities through hand-painted skateboards, graffiti-inspired art, and live demonstrations.

• Fundraising for Youth Initiatives: Proceeds will directly support programs such as our Sponsor-a-Kid Program, providing skateboards and art supplies for underserved youth.

• Community Engagement: Creating a vibrant, interactive space for attendees to connect with local artists, musicians, and each other.

Event Itinerary

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Welcome & Opening Activities

• Check-in and browse the art exhibition.

• Participate in an interactive graffiti wall and community art station.

6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Opening Ceremony

• Welcome speech and event overview.

• Highlighting the Sponsor-a-Kid Program and mentorship initiatives.

6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Live Music & Community Engagement

• Performances by local musicians (TBA).

• Opportunities to meet artists and participate in raffles.

7:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Skate Culture Showcase

• Skateboard demonstration by local talent.

• Live graffiti art demonstration.

8:30 PM – 9:30 PM: Main Auction & Raffle Draw

• Silent auction for hand-painted skateboards and last year’s graffiti wall.

9:30 PM – 10:00 PM: Closing Performance

• Final live music set and thank-you to attendees, sponsors, and supporters.
