Lockport is New York State’s premier Erie Canal community. Your visit to Lockport begins at the renowned Erie Canal Discovery Center, where Erie Canal surveyor/engineer Nathan Roberts leads you on a simulated packet boat ride through the Lockport Locks. Plan on spending more than one day in Lockport so that you can journey along Riley’s Way and marvel at the Erie Canal Flight of Five Locks alongside the Erie Barge Canal, as well as enjoy the Lockport Cave & Underground Boat Ride and Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises.
Visit the heart of downtown, which is home to many spots for visitors to eat, drink, stay, play and explore. Numerous attractions, the Historic Palace Theatre, and the Historic Locks District along with comfortable, affordable overnight accommodations and delightful restaurants will provide a memorable stay and leave you wanting to return for more.
